CORE Services
Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment: free, flexible services to help you live independently, work, learn, and feel well — serving Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties.
What CORE can help with
If you have mental health and/or substance use needs, CORE services help you reach your personal and health goals:
- Independence — life skills like managing money and making friends, using community resources, self-advocacy, and ways to deal with stress
- Education & employment — support, advocacy, and counseling for your work and school goals
- Health management — care focused on you, learning your triggers, and managing or preventing crises
These services used to be available through Adult Behavioral Health Home and Community Based Services — CORE services are easier to get.
Who's eligible
Adults 21 and over who are covered by Medicaid and enrolled in a Health and Recovery Plan (HARP) can get these services free.
A HARP is a Medicaid Managed Care plan that pays for your physical and behavioral health care, with staff who specialize in mental health and substance use. To learn more, contact your plan or visit omh.ny.gov.
